Naturally-raised beef brings a mix of nutritional and culinary benefits that mass-farmed options cannot offer. Natural beef contains more fatty acids and vitamins, without unwanted growth hormones and additives. Natural beef is better to cook with as the butchered meat is properly aged; this means less weight ‘cooks off' and disappears. Natural beef tastes better, as the cattle have grown at a sustainable rate. In other words, Whelpton Beef is truly Tasty & Tender!
-
While mass-produced beef is processed as cheap and fast as possible, the beef contains excess fat and water, which evaporate once cooked. This means that while store-bought beef may cost ‘less,’ you end up with less food on your plate. Whelpton Beef is dry-aged for 14 days after butchering. Because of the way our animals are raised and processed, Whelpton Farm products bring better value (and flavour!) than you are able to find in the supermarket.
-
Our cattle are grass-fed and grain-finished. This combination is better than purely grass or grain feeding as it brings the perfect balance of flavour and texture.

All of our beef products are processed in provincially-licensed and inspected butchering facilities local to the Claresholm area.
