Ordering a whole or half steer from Whelpton Beef is a great way to customize your preferred cuts in larger portions. Whole or half orders fill your freezer with plenty of Tasty & Tender beef at an even better price point.

When we talk about the size of our beef, we refer to the actual carcass weight (called “hot” or "wet hanging” weight), which typically ranges between 750–900 lbs. After butchering and dry-aging, your final take-home yield is approximately 60% of that initial wet weight.

Choosing a whole or half beef gives you the most flexibility to request specialty cuts while still maintaining a large supply of steaks, roasts, and ground beef. This option is the best value at $7.50/lb hot hanging weight. Typical hot weight for a full beef runs around 800lbs and 400lbs for a half. The completed order will be around 480lbs (240lbs for a half) of frozen butchered beef.

Once you fill out your order request below, we will respond by email to confirm availability and request a $200 order deposit. After we have finalized the details and received your deposit, your order request will be booked and we will be able to confirm the production schedule. You will be invoiced for the final amount owing upon delivery based on the actual weight. Typical final costs for full beef run between $6,000-$7,000 ($3,000-$3,500 for half).
